Meet our Staff

  • Denise

    DIRECTOR

Hi! I’m Denise, and I am the Director at KLC. I have been with the company for 10 years, and hope to be part of it for many more years to come. I have 2 beautiful girls who have also attended KLC for their Early Learning years, and now for After-school. I love spending time in the classrooms with all the children. Having worked in all the classrooms before becoming Director allowed me to see what goes on in the classroom, and appreciate the staff, as well as see how I can be a better support for them to help them succeed.

A little about me is that I enjoy spending time with my family. They are a big part of who I am. We enjoy traveling when we can, visiting family out of town, and visiting Disneyland often! We are a Disney family. On my free time, I enjoy watching Hallmark movies, reading, writing, and baking Conchas.

“If you could only sense how important you are to the lives of those you meet; how important you can be to the people you may never even dream of. There is something of yourself that you leave at every meeting with another person.”

  • Amber

    ASSISTANT DIRECTOR/ FACILITATOR

Hi I'm Amber, and I am the Assistant Director at KLC. This is my eighth year at KLC, I started as a Teacher's Aide in the older Preschool class and moved to working as the Lead Preschool teacher for three year olds after two months. I worked as the younger Preschool teacher for a year and then became the teacher for the Pre-Kindergarten classroom, I worked as the Pre-Kindergertan teacher for five years, during this time I also worked as Summer Camp teacher for four summers. In 2023 I began working as Facilitator for the center, this position provided me the opportunity to work with and learn about all age groups and also to learn more about working in Administration. In November of 2024 I stepped in to the role of Assistant Director. My husband Mark and I have been married for 15 years and we have three beautiful children-Olivia, Carter and Ezra, I love to take my children to Disney and I love cooking and baking. I have a passion for Early Childhood Education and Behavioral Psychology, my goal is to continue my education in both of these fields, I love children and want to help the world understand them. My favorite thing about working at KLC is when I see my past students and they yell, "Ms.Amber!!" I love knowing I have made a difference in their lives.

  • Fatima

    SQUIRRELS LEAD TEACHER

Hello! My name is Fatima, and I am delighted to share a bit about myself. Over the past three years at KLC, I have had the wonderful opportunity to work as an aide, where I’ve witnessed the incredible growth and development of the children in each classroom. I am thrilled to step into the role of lead teacher for the little preschool class, guiding and nurturing our youngest learners as they embark on their educational journeys.

A little more about me: I have a quirky passion for collecting unique items that bring joy to my living space. My collection features food-shaped earrings that always spark a smile, as well as miniature toys that I strategically place around my apartment to create a fun atmosphere. I also love the creative challenge of building book nooks—those charming little corners that invite you to escape into a good book.

Traveling is another passion, especially when it leads me to discover fascinating eateries and hidden gems in various places. I believe that every meal has a story to tell! When it comes to music, my tastes are wonderfully varied. I enjoy everything from heartwarming Disney melodies to the catchy beats of K-pop, and I constantly seek out new sounds to expand my playlist.

  • MaKayla

    CONDORS ASSISTANT TEACHER

Hi, I’m Makayla and I work with just about every age group! I primarily have experience with infants, pre-school, and school-aged children, as I’ve worked as both a lead teacher and a teacher’s aide in each of these groups. I’ve worked with KLC for just about 4 years, with a couple short breaks here and there. I love being an early childhood educator for this community, as it’s something I’ve dreamed of since I was in middle school. I just love being a part of all of these kiddos' early years, helping shape their development, and being an advocate for them, and you as the parents. I’m dedicated to creating a team with all of the families that come into our center to meet the needs of our children.

When I’m not at KLC (and 24/7, if we’re being honest,) I get to play the role of Mom to my sweet girl, Rowan, and partner of her dad, Tristan <3. Our little family loves to go fishing, camping, and on little adventures when we’re not hard at work. But in the rare moments that it’s just me, I love to bake, listen to music and podcasts, experiment with my hair colors, and play video games. Overall though, my family is my passion, and I’m happy to share the passion with caring for your families!
